Monash Seniors Festival
Free introductory class to aikido, focussing on specific aspects of aikido that may be more relevant to older people including:
- learning how aikido's philosophy makes it easier on the body than many other martial arts
- applying 'maximum efficiency, minimum effort' principles to self-defence and everyday activities
- learning how aikido uses blending and movement to deal with physical conflict
- learning to fall safely
Time: 7.15pm to 9pm
Venue: Rear 33 Raymond St, Ashwood, Vic 3147.
Wear T-shirt and tracksuit pants. Bring a water bottle.
Supper provided.
